Western Undergraduate Exchange

Are you thinking about going to college out of state? The Western Undergraduate Exchange, WUE, is a program through which students may enroll in designated two-year and four-year institutions and programs in other participating states at a special reduced tuition level applicable only to WUE students. This is usually the amount of that state’s resident tuition plus 50 percent. In all programs, the sum is substantially less than non-resident tuition.

Participating states include Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.

Specific institutions and programs available to students are determined by the individual state. Eligibility for admission and WUE tuition status are determined by each participating institution. The WUE Bulletin contains a complete list of participating institutions and available programs. The bulletin can be found on the web at www.wiche.edu/sep/wue.
